These terms apply when you use https://thecozycornermarket.com, send us a message, apply for booth space, or pay an invoice we send you. The site is operated by Lake Martin Gift Co LLC, doing business as The Cozy Corner Market. Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The signed vendor agreement comes first

If you are a vendor with us, you signed a vendor agreement in store. That document governs your booth, your rent, your term, and your obligations to us and ours to you. Nothing on this page replaces it, reduces it, or adds to it. Where this page and your signed agreement disagree, your signed agreement wins.

This page covers the website and the payment pages, which the signed agreement does not describe.

What this website is

The Cozy Corner Market is a curated retail shop for local makers, located inside Carlisle's in Alexander City, Alabama. This website tells you about the shop, lists our space and pricing, publishes stories about our makers, and accepts applications from makers who want to join us.

We do not sell products to the public through this website. Products are sold in the store.

Applying for booth space

An application is a request, not an agreement. Submitting one does not reserve a space, does not create a lease, and does not oblige us to offer you anything. We review applications by hand and we do not accept every one.

The prices shown on our layout and pricing page describe what space currently costs. They are subject to change, availability is limited, and the figures that bind either of us are the ones written into a signed vendor agreement.

Please tell us the truth on your application. If you describe work you did not make, or misrepresent your business, we may decline the application or end an agreement already in place.

Payments

Vendor deposits and booth rent may be paid through a secure payment link we email you. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your card or bank details are entered on Stripe's pages rather than ours.

Two prices

Each payment link shows two prices: a lower price for paying by bank transfer, and a standard price for paying by card. Paying by bank earns the discount. You will always see both amounts before you choose, and you can back out at that point without paying anything.

Timing

Card payments are confirmed within moments. Bank transfers take up to four business days to clear, and the first bank payment you make can take longer if your bank has to be verified first. A bank payment can also be returned after it appears to have gone through. If that happens the amount is still owed and we will contact you.

If a payment has a due date, please allow for this. Paying by card is the faster option when a deadline is close.

Refunds

Rent already paid for a month that has begun is not refundable. Deposits are handled as set out in your signed vendor agreement. If we charge you the wrong amount, or take a payment in error, tell us and we will refund it in full. If you think something is wrong with a charge, email us before disputing it with your bank. We would rather fix it directly, and we can usually do it the same day.

Photos and words you send us

You keep ownership of everything you send us, including your photos, your product descriptions, and your answers to our vendor spotlight survey.

By sending them, you give us permission to use them to run and promote the market. That includes our website, our social media, our emails, and printed material in the store. The vendor spotlight survey asks for this permission explicitly, because publishing is the point of it. You confirm that the work is yours to share and that you are not infringing anyone else's rights by sending it.

If you want something taken down, email us. We will remove it from anything we control, though we cannot pull back an email already delivered or a printed piece already distributed.

Acceptable use

Please do not use this site to break the law, to submit someone else's personal information, to send automated or bulk submissions, to attempt to reach parts of the site that are not public, or to interfere with how the site runs for other people. Our forms are protected against automated submission, and we may block access that looks abusive.

Our content

The name The Cozy Corner Market, our logo, our site design, our photographs, and our written content belong to us or to the makers who licensed them to us. Please do not copy or reuse them commercially without asking. Sharing a link, or quoting a short passage with credit, is always welcome.

Other people's websites

We link out to vendors' shops, social media profiles, and services such as our booking and payment providers. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information. Their terms apply once you get there.

Availability and accuracy

We keep hours, pricing, and availability current, and we may still be wrong occasionally. Details on this site are provided in good faith without any guarantee that they are complete or error free, and they can change without notice. The website is provided as it is, and we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults.

Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Lake Martin Gift Co LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this website, including lost profits or lost business. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects your rights under your signed vendor agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, and any dispute about them belongs in the state or federal courts serving Tallapoosa County, Alabama.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
